PolyMedix focuses on developing novel high-value therapeutic drug products for serious, life-threatening acute disorders. We attack these challenges with biomimetics - novel small molecule compounds and polymers which mimic the activity of proteins. These compounds are designed with a proprietary computational technology platform which focuses on a specific field of biology with many potential product opportunities: membrane:protein and protein:protein interactions.
PolyMedix focuses on serious, life threatening, acute disorders which are also significant market opportunities. Using our proprietary computational drug design technology, we have created novel antibiotic compounds and heptagonists. Our lead candidates in each of these programs, i.v. antibiotic candidate PMX-30063 and the anticoagulant antagonist product candidate PMX-60056, are
currently in human clinical trials.
